Bridge Rectifier Assemblies are constructed by packaging diodes and/or SCR’s components with heat sink extrusions in a diode bridge circuit. A bridge rectifier power supply can be a four diode assembly or a six diode assembly. A six diode bridge assembly has significantly lower ripple content (5%) than a four diode bridge assembly (50%). These rectifiers can be diode assemblies, SCR assemblies (consisting of SCRs instead of diodes) or hybrid assemblies (consisting of SCRs and diodes). Review the bridge rectifier schematics below for more information.
CEHCO has considerable experience in building 6 Diode bridge assemblies. Shown below is a six diode bridge assembly using 300 Amps diodes, part number 8M-300A-600PIV-6D
Specifications:
- Six diode bridge assembly P/N 8M-300A-600PIV-6D
- Each diode is rated for 300 Amps and 600 PIV
- Estimated dimension 7″H x 13.5″W x 10″D
- Forced cooling may be required
