SCR Controlled Variable DC Power Supply, 0 to 42 VDC, 450 ADC Output

Product Overview

Variable DC power supplies are AC to DC power supplies with a variable DC output. The output can be varied with an SCR controller. The AC input power can be single phase or three phases. With single phase AC input, the DC output ripple is very high (50%). With three phase AC input, the DC output ripple is low (5%). This would be a key benefit for selecting three phase AC input instead of single phase.

  • Input: 415 VAC, 3 PH, 50 Hz.
  • Output: 0 to 42 VDC ± 10%, 450 Amps max.
  • 120 VAC control transformer is included.
  • SCR control is phase sensitive. Hence, 3 PH monitor is included.
  • Fuses for the control transformer are included.
  • Input contactor and overload relay are included.
  • ON/ OFF push button capability is included.
  • Emergency Power off (EPO) is included.
  • Voltage control potentiometer and Current limit potentiometer are included.
  • All input and output connections inside the enclosure.
  • Since it is an SCR controlled output, ripple increases as output is lowered from the max.
